Chapter 53. Love’s Third Law of Motion (2)

The three simultaneously turned in the source’s direction and saw Kathleen looking at Benedict, frozen and pale. Her phone had fallen, and the shattered parts scattered on the floor.

Jethro quickly stood up and worriedly approached his girlfriend. He picked up the scattered parts of her broken phone.

“Are you okay, Babe? What happened?” Jethro asked, gravely concerned.

Only then did Kathleen snap out of her trance. She slowly looked at her boyfriend with a stupefied expression.

“I-I’m just dizzy.” Her voice broke as she tried to reason.

“Be careful, alright? Maybe you’ve been soaking too much in the sun. Why don’t we just rest in our room later?” buying her farce, Jethro said, overflowing with concern.

Kathleen only nodded weakly in response. Jethro then smiled and carefully supported his girl back to their table.

“By the way, do you remember Mr. Anderson? Doctor Carter’s husband?” he asked as they sat at the table again.
