Chapter 29
Myles POV
I was standing at the front of the room in our main clubhouse in silence with my hands resting on the worn wood of the bar. Today was the day we buried Trevor, what was left of him at least, and tonight, we were carrying out the ritual to send him off.
My eyes didn’t leave the pictures of Trevor on the table. One from an old ride, laughing as they passed the highway sign that said ‘Hell’s Backbone.’ The image of Trevor was forever frozen in time, but I knew better than to believe that memory was all that was left.
We were going to send him off tonight. But what the hell does that even mean? How do you honor a man who died too soon? How do you do a ritual when your soul is cracking open from the loss?
