“An assignment?” he repeated, feeling slightly ridiculous after doing so, but he quickly regained his composure and kept a straight face as he added, “Can I ask what the assignment is going to be about?”

“My secretary will forward the details to you; you will be acquiring a small company. They are currently experiencing a huge debt, and I think it is because of bad management. However, I believe they won’t have to suffer under us.”

“I see…” Damien wanted to say more, but his desire to not say the wrong thing made him stiffly adjust in his seat as he looked at his father and received more instructions and briefing.
