Chapter 16
Damien would like to do a lot of things other than discuss anything with this man right now. There was always something about him that didn’t feel right; he could never really put his finger on it, and he didn’t want to think so ill of the man that he was hoping would be his father-in-law someday. So he put his hesitation and his reserved feelings about the other older male aside and soon found a seat opposite him.
“What would you like to order? Pick anything, it’s on me,” he offered generously.
But Damien was not about to be swayed by a single cup of coffee, even though he still gave his choice: a cappuccino. As for the older male, he chose a black coffee that looked just as thick and bitter as him.
“You know what, Damien, I actually like you a lot…” Sylvester began, and once again, the younger male was not to be fooled. He knew that he wanted to say more, and so as he waited for his own cup of coffee, he watched him carefully. Sylvester’s gray eyes seemed to stud
