Chapter 6
Martin
It was just a normal day where the birds chirped and the crows cawed, but it wasn’t a beautiful sound. It was annoying, and he was used to it. Specks of dust seemed to dance in the shaft of the morning sunlight as he pulled open the curtains.
The weather was fine at least, the clouds forming and taking over the sun, only for it to be released, and the rays shined again.
He knew the rainy days were going to come soon. It was always his best season of the year that he always looked forward to. The annoying birds would finally shut up, running away and seeking to find shelter. The people would scurry away, not wanting to get wet. He always found that funny. It was time to do what he always did every morning.
He located his glasses laying on the cabinet and wore them. He clicked the burner on when he arrived at the kitchen and settled the kettle on it. It took time before he realized the water had boiled.
