Chapter 55. Fear
“What other questions do you have?” George Swernbach asked.
His arm hung over the white couch in his office. Elaine sat beside him, as she had sat beside Melvin the previous week.
Throughout the interview, she kept staring at the double entry doors, waiting for Melvin to burst through with a bouquet of flowers as he sang a song about his undying love. She’d had nightmares about that. But true to Andrew’s words, Melvin hadn’t contacted her for a whole week.
“Eh…” She looked at her notepad. They had covered most of the basics and if she were the one writing his book, most of the information she had gathered would be enough for her to start. “What is your greatest fear and how does that motivate you?”
George smiled, his gray eyes exuding power. She had come to see how calm he could be. He shared a lot of similarities with Andrew, character wise, but he and Melvin shared the same height and the same type of eyes. He was much calmer than any of his grandson’s.
