It was minutes after Aria had walked out that Nick ended the call with his client. His brother had hit another publishing deal, and the new authorship deal went directly to him. He’d known his brother for everything bad but never without a plan. Even with a bad record with women, Nick knew he’d always had a flare for management and success.
A passion he preferred sleeping and drinking with young girls over.
He was delighted when his manager reported that his company would be airing his first debut. It was going to be another round of celebration. Mike was still angry with him. He knew with the way he ignored his calls and the way he left the last time without another word and had never shown up.
The news must have reached their family, too. Soon, his father, who had wanted to reach him over the issue of settling down, would call. Nick’s problem wasn’t that his father would chastise him but that he would spend so much time telling him why he needed a woman.
