Chapter 10. Being a Good Boss
Seeing Harry’s expression, Alice immediately covered her mouth with laughter. She didn’t expect him to believe her so easily.
“Well, it looks like you have a big grudge against your boss.” Harry’s face looked tense, and he leaned back in the chair while loosening the tie around his neck.
Alice smiled and said, “I was just joking, sir. There’s no way I would dare to do something like that; I’m not that bad.”
Harry glanced at Alice quizzically, searching for a lie in the woman’s expression. However, Harry didn’t find it; seeing Alice’s genuine smile, he believed she was being honest this time.
“But what you said could have really happened,” Harry said.
Alice found it amusing to see the behavior of her new boss: “No way, sir. As long as you’re nice to the workers, they won’t do anything like that.
Harry nodded. “You’re right.”
