Lucian had his head in his hands as he stared at what was in front of him. Everyone still went about their business like nothing had changed.

He had regained a little strength but he hadn’t managed to convince Nerena completely. She had a game play of her own and wouldn’t take just his. He was anxious to save Rhea. He wanted to know she was fine. At least he knew Lyra hadn’t killed her, the bond still existed but he wondered for how long.

He felt her presence before he saw her, meeting her eyes that shone green like the forest around them. He didn’t want to be here any longer but he was surrounded - there was no choice.

She cleared her throat, “I needed to make sure you were feeling much better before I told you the rest of the truth” she said to him. She knew the temper he possessed.
