Rhea’s POV
I wasn’t sure how long I had alone. Would Caden give me days or just mere hours? My intuitions screamed the latter but I could only hope for the former. There was so much still to learn and I would do that before he came back.
My eyes strayed to Cassian, the way his pale and lifeless body just lay there but I didn’t move any closer. For now the whispers had stopped, I couldn’t feel him reaching out to me - the ache had disappeared and it was only me, with as much time as I could to really learn what this ritual was.
