Chapter 17. Kicking Hard
“It was a feminine voice crying for help,” repeated the voice.
“Help me… please,” it cried out again.
“I’m dying, help…”
Lacey and Ruby rushed to the door. But, just like before, there was no sign of anyone. The voice was starting to fade away. They looked at each other, both expressing shock. Strange things like this had never happened before, not even while Lacey’s parents were still living in this place.
“What the hell is going on?” Lacey was beginning to freak out. There was fear in her voice. No ass-kicking werewolf wished to be up against an invisible entity. “You said the sigils would protect this hotel from uninvited supernatural and magical beings. What the hell is going on?”
“Phew…” Ruby lowered her head. For a few seconds, she was spellbound and thought to herself, what could be going on? ‘If this is supernatural, then it can’t get in… unless it is not in but outside.’
“Talk to me, witch!” Lacey cried out. She snapped her fingers at Rub
