Chapter 21. He’s All Over Me
Lacey could hear the raging wolf in her whispering, ‘Kill him.’ Her face was distorted with rage, and the feeling of violent anger was written all over her.
“Have you been following me?” she lashed out, walking up to Alex.
Alex broke into a charming smile. “I’m your guardian angel,” he said. He raised the police line, walking past under it, and started walking up to meet Lacey.
There was something familiar about Alex Cole. Lacey could feel it. She stopped and sniffed around. Casting a furious gaze on Alex, she lashed out, “So it’s you?”
“Me, what?” Alex pointed to himself, looking confused, having no idea what Lacey was insinuating.
Lacey pointed her index finger toward him. “You are the one who was stalking me on the night Uncle Bobby was murdered,” she said with certainty. She made a powerful move toward Alex and held him to the wall. “Who the hell are you?” she gnawed.
