Chapter 67. The Clandestine Wolves
Lucky looked terrified. He was the weakest among the Secret Wolf Society, always using Cage’s influence to get his way. Tonight, there was no Cage to help him. He was alone in the thickest woods with no one to keep telling him to run. Quite sure, the clandestine wolves were closing in on him, but he said to himself he would never be captured like Cage. None of them saw this coming; they thought they had all gotten what they wanted.
The howls were replaced by ferocious barking, stirring more fear in him as he continued to run. Lucky could barely fight a fellow wolf and beat it. This was why he embraced dark magic and had secret witches working for him.
The barking kept growing louder and closer; he continued running as fast as he could at the accelerated speed of a werewolf. It was clear to him that the clandestine wolves were on his trail. Cage had brought him this far only to let him fight through it alone. Cage couldn’t help; he was captured and didn’t see this coming.
