Chapter 20

The next day I stayed locked up in my room. I was having difficulty controlling myself and felt that if I waited for Nocturne to call for me, I would not cause much of a ruckus while waiting for her. I decided to try to read a book Marvin had sent me about human anatomy and reproduction. It was a boring read as it was overly technical and included nothing about magic.

“What is the point in reading this text when it does not describe the act that leads to reproduction?” I sighed as I tossed the book onto the floor. A new desire had begun to consume me since meeting Nocturne. I thought it was the attraction Marvin had spoken of with me before but was beginning to realize it was not as innocent as a simple attraction to the demoness. I enjoyed how she pushed me around as if I were nothing. I suppose it was because I felt like I was nothing compared to her. The power that poured off of her was ever present in my life now, and made my own power dwindle in comparison. I felt like I
