Yudi let out a sigh before continuing. He hated where this was going. Sadly, he hated admitting this, but Isis was right. The balance of power was now askew, and he only had himself to blame. If he’d only come to Demetrese earlier, none of this would have happened. He trusted Demetrese to have had compassion. That was the sole reason Yudi sent him to the Underworld. His first angel had never fallen from Yudi’s grace. No. Demetrese was the only angel with pure empathy. Unfortunately, this time, Demetrese let his emotions get the best of him, and it was too late for the situation to be rectified. Sadly, none of this would have happened if Lilith hadn’t been disloyal to Adam. A pang rose deep within Yudi’s core. He wanted, no—he needed to punish Lilith for her unfaithfulness. He could distribute the balance of power fairly and smite Lilith all at once.
